Project Dissemination at Education Fair “School 2015”
Just like every year Turiba University presented the study opportunities in the exhibition “School 2015” from 27 February till 1 March, 2015 in Kipsala International Exhibition Centre in Riga, Latvia. It is the most important event of the year for the Education field, gathering thousands of young people from Latvia.
In Turiba University booth everyone interested could find information about more than 20 Bachelor, Master and Doctoral study programmes in Business Administration, Law Sciences, Tourism and Hospitality Management, as well as Public Relations and Journalism. Alongside with the programmes mentioned, the “Skills4Hotels” project had its place in the both as well. All the attendants of Turiba university booth could also get first-hand information about the project.
At the same time the “Latvian Book Exhibition 2015” took place in the hall. During the first day (27.02.2015.) of the exhibition the “Skills4Hotels” project leaflets were disseminated in both exhibitions. The project members also informed other education institutions of Hospitality sector about the new project. Their representatives found the project interesting and useful for their institutions as well.

On Tuesday, 24 February 2015 Tourism and Catering School Dubrovnik held a project dissemination meeting. TUSDU teachers participated at the meeting. They were introduced with project wepage and E-learning platform. The project team is supported with lots of ideas. They found the project as useful learning material for students.

The “Skills4Hotels” project disseminated at the travel tradeshow “Balttour 2015”
On 6 February 2015, two project team members from Turiba University visited the international tourism exhibition “Balttour 2015” in Kipsala International Exhibition Centre, in Riga, Latvia.
„Balttour” is the biggest travel tradeshow in the Baltic countries which took part for the 22nd time. The target audience of the fair is travellers and travel trade professionals, such as representatives of travel service providers, travel agencies, transport, catering, financial and insurance service providers, tourist information centers and entertainment companies, governmental and municipal officials, mass media, professional associations and educational institutions. More than 450 exhibitors and 700 participating organizations from 40 countries of Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East participated in this year’s “Balttour”.
At the fair the “Skills4Hotels” project leaflets were disseminated and the project members informed representatives of the hotel and catering sector about the project and its aims. The responsiveness and the interest about the project was pleasing, and the representatives of the companies are looking forward to the materials that would be useful for their employees to improve their language skills.
