Project dissemination for first-year IT students at Ekonomska šola Murska Sobota, Higher vocational school

On 31.5.2017 the first-year students of the programme Informatics attended the presentation of the EU project »Key Skills for Hotel Industry Staff«. I showed them the FrontDesk programs and the applications created for smartphones and explained them how they worked. Then I presented the Moodle e-platform for learning in more detail. I explained all the modules and study material for A2/B1 language level and showed some exercises in English, Slovenian and German. I also mentioned that the modules are available in 12 European languages (DE, EN, ES, FR, GR, HR, HU, IT, LV, RO, RU, SI). Then I explained the 6 modules for the higher language level B2/C1 available in English, presented the study material as well as exercises and explained the differences to the A2/B1 level. I mentioned that the e-platform is available to anybody interested in languages and can be accessed by anyone who wants to learn or improve their language skills. Furthermore, I emphasized that access to the Moodle learning platform is free. Before we finished I showed them where and how to register on the Moodle e-platform so that they could use the study material and do the exercises.

Project dissemination for teachers from Spain at Ekonomska šola Murska Sobota, Higher vocational school

On 8 May 2017 we had a visit of teachers from Spain who were especially interested in entrepreneurship at our school – how it is taught to our students and what support they get. So I took the opportunity and presented the EU project »Key Skills for Hotel Industry Staff«, which was finished in autumn 2016. I briefly showed them the FrontDesk programs and the applications which were created for smartphones and explained them how they worked and where to download them. Then I presented the Moodle e-platform for learning. I showed them all the modules and study material for A2/B1 language level and some exercises in Spanish.
