The second project meeting in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania

The second meeting for the Erasmus+ project „Key Skills for European Union Hotel Staff” (Project No.: 2014-1HR01-KA2014-007224) was held in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania from the 22nd till 24th April 2015. The project meeting was organised by the project partner, Universitatea Sapientia din Cluj-Napoca, Romania and representatives of all other project partners Tourism and Catering School (Dubrovnik), Primrose Publishing (UK), Ekonomska šola Murska Sobota (Slovenia), IPSSA Nino Bergese (Italy) and Turiba University (Latvia) participated in the meeting. The second meeting started with a warm welcome address by the Sapientia's dean. After a short introduction of University of Sapientia and its constitution project members went on the first point on the agenda. It was to give a brief overview of the project outcomes and achieved results that were planned to be finished by the end of March 2015.All the partners were involved in the project last 6 months and it has to be said that the Consortium did much more than it had been previously planned. It was planned to write only one – joint needs analysis report, but as partners showed initiative and their initial presentations during the kick-off meeting were quite comprehensive, and the Consortium produced individual country reports and one joint Needs Analysis Report. Moreover, P2 made a needs analysis report on their institutional needs and vision, although it had not been planned before. This report was integrated in the Joint needs Analysis Report following the link: http://language4hotel.eu/index.php/hierarchical-document-list/croatia/291-joint-needs-analysis-report-1.The meeting was organised as a constituent part of activities to work on technical issues connected with the Frontdesk learning program, apps and the learning platform for the on-line course. The Frontdesk program as well as the smartphone application program was demonstrated by Primrose Publishing, the activity leader David Sephton demonstrated how to use FrontDesk app and smartphone app as well. The Slovenian partner who is responsible for designing and creating the learning platform demonstrated the learning platform that they created.  During the second project day besides having meeting in the morning, there was Conference held on Travelling in Csíkszereda, EMTE Sapientia in which teachers-participants were introduced the project and outcomes achieved in last 6 months of managing the project. At the conclusion of the meeting, partners reviewed and finalized all the immediate deadlines and bid farewell to each other.
